Light Moves Dialogues: Talks and discussions by a captivating selection of artists whose works are expansive, diverse and essential, including Joan Davis, Jean Butler, and Clare Langan.
Dance Films Programmes: Light Moves presented nine programmes showcasing some of the most exciting recent work in this area created both in Ireland and internationally. With 55 works from 16 countries these films open doors to exceptional experiences: Encounters ranging from the beautiful to the surreal. Moments that are poignant and joyous. Discover secret dances on a Tehran boulevard, a rain drenched dance on the streets of Hong Kong or a circle ritual in downtown Montreal. Splash into a city river near Zurich or join young Dublin dancers recounting stories from a strange time. These films cross borders and genres, celebrate ballet, hip hop and contemporary dance, and bring the diverse colours of human life and our world to the screen. Featuring guest programming by transatlanticbirdscrew (DE) and Laura Murphy (IRL).
Light Moves Online: The Festival brought a selection of films to an online audience, and extended its commitment to wide-ranging discussions with an exciting series of online conversations, artists talks, and special focus groups.
