SYSIPHUS | IRELAND | 2021
Director / choregrapher: Ariel Merz-Field
A struggler and a watcher journey separately through pain eventually coming together in harmony and trust. A journey from the sea back to the sea. A struggle with the elements, the forces pulling and pushing, the turmoil and the continual presence of a watcher/guardian/ dark force whatever it may be. Communion between the two beings comes at the end as they move together and guide each other, trust touch and senses come alive as they tentatively walk through the autumn forest.
GAFA | IRELAND | 2021
Director / Choreographer: Hannah Scully
GAFA: captivated, obsessed, trapped, preoccupied.
Living in the fast-lane is addictive, the never ending rush of chaos brings ‘excitement’ yet the ending results seem to be unbearably predictive. Removing partying and socialising from the director’s life made it seem pointless, however from this boredom came new ways to break free and run wild.
